About Paul Macro
I’m a Norwich-born photographer specialising in commercial and landscape photography, with a particular passion for capturing the character, detail and scale of the world around us.
My commercial work covers a wide range of industries, with a specialism in construction and demolition photography. I work with businesses to capture authentic, distinctive images that tell their story, showcase their people and bring their projects to life.
Alongside my commercial work, I’m also a landscape photographer, creating images that are used for prints, calendars, greetings cards and jigsaw puzzles, as well as being available to license for commercial use.

Who I help

While construction and demolition are my main commercial specialisms, I also work across other industries, helping businesses create professional, authentic photography for their websites, marketing materials and communications.
I also work with businesses looking to license distinctive landscape photography for commercial use or products.
Why I started
I’ve always believed that a photograph captures a unique moment in time, something that will never happen in quite the same way again.
Born and brought up in Norwich, I’ve developed a real passion for capturing the world around me, whether that’s the changing Norfolk landscape or the activity, people and machinery on a busy construction site.
Photography gives me the opportunity to see things from a different perspective and create images that tell a story.
What makes me different
Every photographer has their own style, and mine is something I’ve developed across both commercial and landscape photography.
My commercial work has become recognised for what I call my ‘On the Huh’ style, using unusual angles and perspectives to create images that stand out. It’s a contrast to my landscape photography, where I’m much more particular about keeping everything straight!
I like capturing things as they really are. Real people, real places and real moments, rather than images that feel overly staged or artificial. It’s photography with a human touch, and definitely no AI-generated substitutes.

My ideal clients are construction and demolition companies looking for distinctive, professional photography that captures their work in action.
Whether it’s documenting a project, showcasing the scale of a site, highlighting the people behind the business or creating images for marketing and promotional materials, I enjoy working with companies that appreciate the value of authentic photography.
