About Charlotte

I’m Charlotte, the founder of Lemonade Works, providing operations, business management and executive support to business owners who need an extra pair of hands, a fresh perspective or someone they can trust to keep things moving behind the scenes.

I’ve worked with businesses of all shapes and sizes, across a variety of industries, and one thing I’ve learnt is that no two businesses operate in quite the same way. That’s why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to business support.

From managing day-to-day operations and improving processes to coordinating projects, supporting recruitment and taking care of the financial administration, I get stuck into the areas where I can make a genuine difference.

Over the years, I’ve helped business owners reclaim valuable time, supported directors taking maternity leave, coordinated rebrands and business expansions, navigated staffing changes and introduced more efficient ways of working. I’ve also helped businesses bring outsourced processes in-house, reducing costs and giving owners greater control over their operations.

For me, it’s not just about ticking tasks off a list. It’s about understanding how a business works, spotting opportunities to do things better and becoming someone business owners can genuinely rely on.

I love getting under the skin of a business, untangling the complicated bits and helping turn ideas into action.

That’s what Lemonade Works is all about: practical, proactive business support that makes running a business feel a little easier.

Because every business grows differently.

Who I help

I work with ambitious business owners, entrepreneurs and growing SMEs who need reliable, proactive support to keep their businesses running smoothly.

My clients are business owners who have reached a point where they’re juggling too many responsibilities, spending valuable time on day-to-day operations or struggling to find the capacity to move their business forward.

Whether they’re looking to grow, streamline their processes, navigate a period of change or simply get some time back, I provide flexible, hands-on support tailored to their business.

I particularly enjoy working with people who value collaboration, trust and fresh ideas, and who want someone who will take the time to understand their business, spot opportunities for improvement and take ownership of making things happen.

Ultimately, I help business owners spend less time working in their business and more time working on it.

Why I started

Lemonade Works started after I was made redundant and found myself at a crossroads, not entirely sure what I wanted to do next.

I initially fell into the world of freelance executive support, working alongside someone with an incredible mind for business. That experience reignited my confidence in my own business knowledge, skills and experience, and gave me the push I needed to build something of my own.

What started as executive support has evolved organically into business and operations management. As I’ve worked with different businesses, I’ve naturally found myself getting more involved in the bigger picture, helping business owners overcome challenges, improve the way things run and find the time and headspace to focus on what matters most to them.

Lemonade Works wasn’t born from a grand plan. It’s grown through experience, opportunities and a genuine enjoyment of helping business owners turn the complicated into something manageable.

Ultimately, I wanted my clients to feel they’ve got someone in their corner who understands their business, take ownership and helps them move forward with confidence.

What makes me different

I think what makes me different is that I don’t just come in, complete a list of tasks and clock off. I take the time to understand the bigger picture, how a business works, where the challenges are and what could be done better.

I bring a combination of hands-on experience, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in helping businesses succeed. I’m just as comfortable getting stuck into the day-to-day administration as I am reviewing processes, managing projects or helping a business owner work through their next big decision.

I’m naturally curious, practical and solutions-focused. If I spot something that could be improved, I’ll speak up, offer ideas and, more importantly, help put them into action.

I’ve worked across different industries and with businesses at various stages of growth, so I understand that what works for one won’t necessarily work for another. I don’t believe in overcomplicating things or introducing systems and processes just for the sake of it. Above all, I build relationships based on trust, honesty and a sense of humour.

I want my clients to feel like they’ve gained someone who’s genuinely invested in their business, rather than simply outsourced a few hours of work. I don’t just help business owners get things done. I help them find better ways of doing them.

Ideal Client

My ideal client is a business owner or entrepreneur who has built something they’re proud of but is finding that running the business is taking up more of their time than they’d like.

They’re ambitious, passionate about what they do and full of ideas, but they recognise that they can’t (and shouldn’t!) do everything themselves.

They might be growing their team, expanding their services, navigating a period of change or simply feeling that their current systems and processes aren’t keeping up with the business.

I particularly enjoy working with business owners who value collaboration, are open to new ideas and want someone they can trust to take ownership, make decisions and get things moving without needing constant direction. I work best with people who appreciate a straightforward, honest approach, have a sense of humour and want a working relationship that feels like a genuine partnership.

Ultimately, my ideal client isn’t necessarily looking for someone to take a few tasks off their hands. They’re looking for someone who can understand their business, bring fresh thinking and help them take it to the next stage.

Work Highlights

My greatest achievement has been giving business owners back their time. From helping two directors take their well-deserved maternity leave with confidence, to freeing up valuable hours for others to focus on growing their businesses or enjoying life outside of work. For me, there's nothing more rewarding than giving people back their time.

What clients say

Charlotte initially joined us as a virtual assistant, focusing primarily on accounts. In a short space of time, her role expanded significantly, and she now oversees the operations of the company as a whole, in addition to managing all administrative and account-related tasks. This growth reflects both her rapidly developing capability and the trust she has earned within the business. I can say with complete honesty that I would not have felt confident going on maternity leave without Charlotte in place. Knowing that she was managing the day-to-day running of the company gave me genuine peace of mind during my time away, and the business has continued to run smoothly as a direct result of her efforts. Charlotte is proactive and professional in everything she does. She has a keen ability to spot problems within the company before they escalate, and she consistently brings well-considered solutions rather than simply flagging issues. She is also incredibly fair and level-headed, qualities that make her a natural at managing both people and competing priorities. Beyond her professional skills, Charlotte is an absolute joy to work with. Her attitude, reliability, and integrity make her a real asset to any team. It is my pleasure to recommend Charlotte without reservation to any future employer. She would be a tremendous addition to any organisation fortunate enough to have her.

Gemma, Director

Charlotte has been working for me for around a year. She has an excellent work ethic and learned quickly to understand how I work on many different fronts. Managing my diary in every detail is one thing she does, but it’s much more than that. Charlotte can now undertake many of my tasks without any supervision. She understands business better than most. I have recommended her to two of our members to build their websites (she built mine). Overall I have no reservations in recommending her.
